This still life shows an orange and a pear resting on a hand mirror with a blue bottle behind the fruit. There is no real distinctive background image, as I wanted the focus to remain on the colors of the fruit and the bottle. I applied a lot of paint to the canvas to give the painting some texture and to soften the lines of the subject. The light source comes from the left side of the painting. The lighting is soft and falls gently on the objects.
